Cathy’s Story
Cathy loved animals in a simple, natural way. We connected deeply through that shared love—she carried an instinctive softness that animals seemed to recognize, settling around her as if they knew they were safe.
She had a quiet presence that stayed with people. Never loud or demanding, just gentle in a way that lingered long after she was gone.
At just 20 years old, Cathy’s life was taken in a car accident.
Losing her never meant losing the love we shared. Grief remained, but so did the bond between us—and over time, that love began asking to become something real.
Cathy’s Corner Animal Sanctuary grew from that place.
Rooted in the connection we shared and the love we both carried for animals, this sanctuary is being built one step at a time. It is becoming a place of safety, healing, and second chances.
Through this work, Cathy’s impact continues—in every life protected, every animal cared for, and every act of compassion this space will one day hold.

Who We Serve & How We Help
Cathy’s Corner Animal Sanctuary is a developing rescue, advocacy, and rehabilitation initiative dedicated to protecting animals in vulnerable and often unprotected situations.
We care for a wide range of animals, including farm animals and exotic species, depending on need and capacity. Our work includes actively responding to animals in unsafe or neglectful conditions, coordinating rescue efforts when possible, and providing rehabilitation and long-term care in a safe, grounded environment.
In addition to direct rescue work, we advocate for animals who fall outside of consistent protections or who are often overlooked within traditional systems. This includes working to support animals that may not always have established safety networks or advocacy structures in place.
We also collaborate with shelters and rescue organizations when possible, offering additional placement options and support to help reduce overcrowding and improve outcomes for animals in need of immediate safety. In some cases, this helps prevent euthanasia due to lack of space by providing an alternative path to care and recovery.
At its core, Cathy’s Corner exists to create a place where animals can move out of crisis and into safety—where they are not only rescued, but given time, space, and care to heal.
